♾️ Trying Out Meta AI

Meta AI released the AI Studio last week to let users to create custom AI characters.

I read the AI Studio Handbook and I came up with the Equestrian Trainer. I wanted an audio assitant that would provide affirmations and reflections for the rider before and after lessons.

My impression is that this tool wants to motivate people to engage with AI by humanizing AI. It’s looking like the AIs created, that are popular, are really an attempt to make people less lonely. While an AI character might be a temporary or long term fix for some we should be considering how AI is being anthropomorphized and how we should really being treating AI as a tool, not a companion.
